Claude September update merges Chat and Cowork
In its September update, Anthropic merged Chat and Cowork in Claude and launched the Claude 5.5 model series, supporting document, presentation and design work inside a conversation. Tasks run in the cloud and keep going after the laptop is closed, and Claude Docs lets teams collaborate with Claude in the same document.
