Anthropic published a reference implementation on Claude Managed Agents (beta) that polls Slack and GitHub for changes on a schedule and posts a digest back to Slack.

Why it matters: Anthropic splits the scheduled digest into bookmark-based resumption, send confirmation and permission isolation rules, giving reusable patterns for background agents to avoid missed reports, duplicate notifications and overreach.
