Anthropic says a single agent often beats multi-agent setups
Anthropic advises evaluating merged sub-agents based on several enterprise deployments. It says a single agent that loads context on demand often does better on quality, cost and latency, running about twice as fast as a multi-agent setup in one comparison. The company has published a migration kit on GitHub. OpenAI reportedly offers discounts of up to 90% to win over Anthropic's large customers.
