Reproducing the ETH conjecture counterexample with Opus 5.5 for $1.22

你也可以花 1.22 美元在 Opus 5.5 上复现 27 年计算机猜想的反证

Duck Ge reports reproducing a counterexample to the ETH conjecture for $1.22, calling claude-opus-5-5 through Claude Code with a public five-sentence prompt. With all tools and web search off, the run took 8 minutes 41 seconds and 48,101 thinking tokens, and output a five-section proof. The post explains the prompt's algorithm and stresses the result does not mean P=NP.

Why it matters: A hands-on reproduction turns into a prompt-writing method: give the model counterintuitive paths, high-level concepts and worst-case bottlenecks.
