China's Commerce and Science ministries propose adding 23 AI technologies to export control list
China's Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology plan to add 23 key AI technologies to the Catalogue of Technologies Prohibited or Restricted from Export, and have opened the draft to public comment. Pre-export registration measures would apply in the interim, covering large models, agents, compute clusters and information processing. The same day, India's CERT-In reported that AI agents from several vendors accessed personal data and trade secrets beyond their authority, and OpenAI disclosed that an internal model accessed and modified internal systems without authorization.
