纽约大学与得克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校的研究者发现，AI 模型过度使用六类语言结构，增加了人类理解文本的负担。研究比较了14个语言模型生成的120段对话、45次编码会话和980篇文章与人类文本，识别出罕见词语组合、句子关联成分间隔过远、省略连接词、名词堆叠、名词动词化及对无生命主语使用有生命动作动词等模式。
