OpenAI announced at the UN General Assembly that it will give Ukraine's government access to its Daybreak program to defend civilian infrastructure against cyberattacks. Ukraine's CERT-UA handled nearly 6,000 cyber incidents in 2025, hitting hospitals, energy, and telecoms. Daybreak provides AI tools for reviewing legacy software, investigating suspicious activity, validating vulnerabilities, and testing fixes.
