Gemini's call-making feature may extend to calls with friends and family
What happened
On October 6, The Verge reported that Google's Gemini "Call for Me" feature may expand from business calls to calls with friends and family. The report is based on Android Authority finding an onboarding page called "Gemini Calling" in an APK teardown, with uses including relaying messages like "I'll be 15 minutes late." The only disclosed progress is the onboarding page appearing in app code; the report does not say the friends-and-family calling feature has officially launched, nor does it give a release date.
