Apple Reportedly to Launch HomeView Smart Home Hub
What happened
TechCrunch reported on October 12, 2026, citing Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, that Apple will unveil a smart home hub called HomeView on Tuesday. The device reportedly runs Siri, has a display and an A18 chip, controls other smart home devices, and comes in countertop and wall-mounted versions. Apple will also refresh the Apple TV box and HomePod mini the same day. The report notes that Apple's earlier HomeKit framework and HomePod speaker saw little market traction. The launch timing and specs remain media reports.
