WorldFacts takes a run at rebuilding the CIA World Factbook
What happened
A Hacker News front-page post on October 11 covered an attempt to rebuild the discontinued CIA World Factbook, which the post calls the "CIA World Facebook." The rebuilt version draws data from the World Bank, WHO, IMF, FAO, UNODC and governance indices, and some entries may cover regions or non-sovereign areas. It can turn every metric into a scatter plot and export all data as CSV. The post discloses only the data sources, the scope of entries and those two features so far.
