Cloudflare releases document data extraction model Clairic
What happened
On October 20, The Decoder reported that Cloudflare released Clairic, a document data extraction model it says is faster and cheaper than large language models at extracting data. In a single pass, Clairic returns the value, format and confidence for each field the user specifies, and returns null for missing values. Beyond field extraction, the model also supports simple calculations, estimates and predictions. Clairic is in open preview on Workers AI, and Cloudflare plans to release the model weights soon.
