AR Guitar overlays virtual chords on a real fretboard via camera
What happened
On November 5, Hacker News' front page covered the AR Guitar project, in which someone built an AR guitar using only a laptop and a pair of scissors. A camera reads the 0, 5, 7 and 12 fret markers on the guitar neck and overlays virtual chords onto the real fretboard in real time. The player holds chords with the left hand and strums with the right. The project page also offers a beginner guide, songs and an L2 assist mode. The report covers how the project is played and what the page offers, with no mention of future updates.
