1Password launches secure sign-in for AI agents
What happened
The Verge reported on October 22 that 1Password launched 1Password for Agents, which lets AI agents sign in to accounts after the user approves, without seeing or handling the password. The agent verifies itself with a dedicated digital key, the user confirms on their own device which credentials are needed and what for, and 1Password fills in the login. The system currently supports Meta Muse, ChatGPT Work and Dots, Claude Duet, Grok Bot and Town, with more partners being added.
