You can now generate, preview, and edit documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets, and more directly in Gemini.

Google's Gemini app now generates, previews and edits documents, PDFs, presentations, spreadsheets and code inside the chat. Users can edit full screen by hand, select text to ask about it, or have Gemini revise the file. Uploaded handwritten class notes can be turned into a PDF study guide, with text or visuals adjusted.

Why it matters: File generation, preview and direct editing now sit in one chat window, so users can fix content by hand or hand a selected passage to the model.
