Google Play lets private AI-built apps run on Android

Google Play now lets anyone build private, vibe-coded apps that run on Android

Google Play introduced a private apps feature: users can build an Android app with Google AI Studio and run it on their own device through a standard Google account, without publishing it publicly.

Why it matters: Google Play now lets people run AI-written Android apps privately, so a personal-use native app no longer needs a public listing.
