OpenAI opens three AI-generated research results to outside academic review

OpenAI says its models produced three research results in math, computer science and physics, and it has invited outside scholars to organize independent checks and interpretation. OpenAI says the models proved a local smoothness conjecture in all dimensions, gave a counterexample to the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH), and proved the existence of a four-dimensional quantum field theory that includes QCD and a unified extension of the Standard Model.
