Microsoft offers voluntary exit to about 60,000 staff to protect AI infrastructure spending

Microsoft is offering voluntary exit packages to about 60,000 employees in the US, UK, Canada and India to cut operating costs and headcount without trimming AI infrastructure spending. Why it matters: Microsoft is widening voluntary exits to about 60,000 staff, holding down costs and headcount to keep funding AI infrastructure.
