Claude is pushing artifacts from one-off outputs into persistent work surfaces. The hard facts are thin: Cowork can now build dashboards and trackers connected to apps and files, and each artifact refreshes with current data when opened. The post gives no connector list, file-source scope, permission model, or audit controls.

I’m cautious on this category. ChatGPT has been dragging Projects, connectors, and Canvas toward the same enterprise workflow slot because plain chat does not retain high-value users. Claude has a cleaner artifact mental model, but live data changes the failure mode. A hallucinated chart is annoying; a refreshed dashboard over the wrong app scope is a governance problem. Without connector names and access semantics, this is a strong product direction, not proof of deployable enterprise workflow.
