China's Cyberspace Administration released a revised draft of the Internet Information Service Management Measures for public comment on July 3. For the first time, it adds a dedicated 'Intelligent Information Services' chapter. Key rules: AI providers must disclose technical principles and training data sources; synthetic content must be labeled, and removing labels is prohibited; algorithmic recommendations cannot be forced on users and must include human override options. Platforms must also build databases to detect cyber violence and restrict accounts inactive for over six months. Feedback deadline is August 2, 2026.
