I clicked because Wolfram finally made the AI assistant a native feature—not a plugin, not a side panel you install separately. Every notebook now ships with a chat window powered by Wolfram's own LLM. It writes Wolfram Language code, explains outputs, and generates visualizations on the spot. For anyone doing symbolic math or data analysis in Mathematica, that's a real workflow improvement: no more tabbing out to ChatGPT or digging through documentation.

Two other updates caught my eye. ModelFit unifies regression, classification, and time-series forecasting under one superfunction—cleaner API, less boilerplate. Symbolic music lets you compose scores and analyze audio directly in code, which is probably more of a niche toy for computational musicology folks, but still neat.

The post doesn't mention pricing or a rollout timeline. Wolfram licenses have never been cheap, and running an in-house LLM inside every notebook raises obvious questions about inference costs and whether this will be an extra line item. I'd hold off on getting excited until we see a price sheet.
