For developers, Codex as a standalone coding assistant and ChatGPT as a general agent create split muscle memory.

The memo names a “single agentic platform,” but gives no ship date, permission model, pricing, or Codex migration plan. Anthropic’s Claude Code path has been narrower and easier to understand.
