I would not buy Unitree as a “humanoid robot champion” on this filing tease. The disclosed hook is only a plan to go public later this year; fundraising size, valuation, exchange, and timetable are missing. That gap matters because humanoid robotics is no longer short of demo clips. It is short of shipment data, gross margin, and paid deployment evidence.

Unitree has earned real credibility in quadrupeds, especially on price and manufacturing feel. Humanoids are a different cost curve: BOM, reliability, field service, and use-case pricing all reset. Figure, Agility, and Tesla Optimus are still leaning on pilots and strategic orders to support valuation. If Unitree cannot show actual unit shipments, customer concentration, and per-unit economics, this IPO reads like a public-market wrapper around China’s robotics policy heat.
